Help support the Gillespie 4-H Dog Project! They will be having a bake sale on May 25th in front of Chase Bank from 9am-3pm to help raise funds for the State Dog Show. Pick up some treats for yourself AND your pup while supporting a great program!



It’s time for the Summer STATEWIDE 2024 4-H Virtual Fishing Reel ‘em In Skill-a-thon!  Registration opened on 4HOnline, May1st with the summer tournament scheduled to start on June 15th.  This is a fun, educational opportunity for 4-H youth and Clover Kids to get outside and fish with their families and friends as the fishing takes place wherever they are located in Texas!  Short educational videos on fishing tips, equipment, fish ID, industry careers, and more are available on the Texas 4-H Natural Resources Facebook page and new YouTube page.  Prize packages of gift cards, fishing gear, and more will be awarded as provided by our sponsors.  Last year we awarded over $10,000 in prizes!






4-H Kids Kamp is coming back June 11th-13th!! Deadline to register is May 29. Let your kids enjoy 3 days of fun from 10am to 2pm each day, or just register for one day. Registration is $65 for all three days (lunch included), or $25 for each day (lunch included). Must be registered in 4-H and have completed 3rd grade by June.





It's Leadership Lab Registration Time!

Leadership Lab is our annul Leadership camp for 4-H members from ages 13-18.  This event provides a variety of leadership, recreation, and project enhancement workshops that participants are challenged to take back to their own county and implement.  District 4-H Council Delegates from the 21 counties are highly encouraged to attend and participate in the District 4-H Council Business Meeting which includes the election of the District Council Officers for the new 4-H year.  Candidates for District 4-H Council will present their campaign speech and participate in a question/answer session in front of the voting delegates


Leadership Lab Information & Rules







The National County Agricultural Agents meeting will be showcasing Texas 4-H, FFA, and Master Gardeners by having a Floral Design contest. In addition to award money, these designs will be centerpieces for the NACCA Conference hosted this July 13-18th in Dallas. Entries should showcase: Texas Agriculture, Texas 4H or FFA, Texas History, Native Plants of Texas, Etc. With questions, contact Brittnay.Meyer@ag.tamu.edu

4-H Spotlight

This week's spotlight highlights Ag Day, where students go to the fairgrounds and get the chance to learn more about agriculture, from farming to livestock!  Crockett Eckhardt learned some goat milking tips from Extension Agent Brad Roeder.
